Experienced Leadership

  • We bring proven leadership, a strong commitment to public education  and meaningful experience working with Darien Public Schools and the Board of Education.

  • We understand the Board's role, responsibilities, and the issues that shape district decisions.

  • We have institutional knowledge of past challenges, current initiatives, and their foundation for future excellence.

  • We will represent the needs of all students and families by listening to and engaging with our diverse school community.

  • We are prepared to provide informed, thoughtful, and collaborative leadership from day one.

Student-First Budgeting

  • Support a student-first budget process that aligns with the District's goals and priorities and students’ educational needs —not a predetermined spending target.

  • Be responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars by identifying efficiencies and eliminating unnecessary spending while protecting the student experience.

  • Make strategic, long-term investments that strengthen our schools, protect our facilities, and reduce the costs of deferred maintenance and delayed projects.

  • Promote a transparent budget process that helps families and the community understand funding priorities and Board decisions.

  • Advocate for the Board-approved budget throughout the town budget process with the Board of Finance, RTM, and the broader community.

Purposeful Technology

  • Support the district's initiative to reduce unnecessary classroom screen time and encourage more direct, hands-on learning.

  • Use technology with a purpose - ensuring it is age-appropriate, curriculum-aligned technology that enhances learning rather than being used by default.

  • Implement districtwide consistency to ensure every student has access to the same learning experience.

  • Support educators by providing the training, resources, and instructional tools needed to successfully implement the district's technology goals.

  • Maintain a balanced approach to technology by reducing unnecessary screen time while building the digital literacy skills students need for college, careers, and everyday life.

  • Ensure technology remains available when it serves an important instructional purpose or supports individual student learning needs.

Curriculum Transparency

  • Support a transparent, accessible curriculum that keeps parents informed about what is being taught and provides opportunities for questions and engagement.

  • Support the district's established policies for curriculum and library material reviews, providing families with a transparent, consistent process to review materials and raise concerns.

  • Oppose efforts to remove books or instructional materials outside the DIstrict’s established process.

  • Keep educational decisions focused on students and learning—not outside pressures or distractions.

  • Support educators by protecting classroom instruction and allowing teachers to focus on teaching and learning.

  • Ensure curriculum decisions are guided by educational value, district policy, and the needs of students.
